Dahlia 'Famoso'

Relatively low growing, the charming Dahlia 'Famoso' is perfect for a container or the front of a border. We have found it to be one of the earliest to flower, sometimes coming into bloom as early as June. The single, pollinator-friendly flowers of Dahlia 'Famoso' are a delicate, pale lilac, with a fuzzy ring of creamy white miniature petals around a yellow centre. 'Famoso' is an intriguing dahlia, ideal for anyone looking to add a little extra special interest to their garden.  

If you choose to grow Dahlia 'Famoso' in a container, plenty of sunshine and a regular watering and feeding routine are the key to success. Mix a granular, general feed into the compost when initially potting up, then a potassium-rich liquid feed (to boost flowering) once a week from July to September. Regular deadheading will also result in a longer, harder flowering period.
